Cambodia-Australia Agricultural Value Chain Program

An environment that promotes international competitiveness

CAVAC worked with the Ministry of Commerce on the Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy 2023 (CTIS) on issues such as value chain upgrading, quality infrastructure and regional integration.

The lack of a robust and coherent Quality Infrastructure system in particular is a limiting factor for Cambodia to participate in the global market place and CAVAC works with SNEC and UNIDO to study mitigating factors.

At the same time CAVAC and its partners in the private and public sectors raise awareness on issues such as Free Trade Agreements, Technical Barriers to Trade, trade information, the use of digital technology for effective business management, and access to finance for agricultural cooperatives and women-owned agro-processing businesses.

CAVAC also supports the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) to register and promote the ‘Malys Angkor’ Certification mark for Cambodian premium jasmine rice.
